The Ultimate Flou Beds

This is my idea of the perfect bed.

image

The frame of the mattress is on a suspension system that lifts easily -- just hit the release button and it pops up with a light tug-- very ingeniously designed. The frame is separate from the head-board. Also, the enclosed space stays clean, unlike underneath a bed. Made in Italy by Flou

  1. Certainly the perfect bed for a small space! Love the tufted headboard on this one!

  2. Anything by Flou excites me!

The padding would absorb sound as well.

I'm going to their website now.

  3. I saw this bed before and always wondered since the headboard is separate how comfortable would it be to rest your head on it.But I love the design.

  5. when ever i stay in paris, i rent an apartment, the beds always are with storage under the mattress-on suspension.

    i think they are fab.

now, i have plenty of room where i live, but how is it that i have out-grown my space and need more.
the storage under the mattress would frre up my linen closet.

Ah! when you talk about Italy...here I am, eager to share my thoughts.
I do in fact also own a Flou Bed, bought when I moved from a huge house with a king size bed to a studio apartment with a double bed.
It is extremely comfortable, elegant and...serve as a storage.
Flou engages the greatest designers like Rodolfo Dordoni who designs for Cassina, Moroso, Cappellini between others and used the iconic designer Vico Magistretti, whose work can be seen also at the MoMa.
Many imitations of Flou but only one Flou!

  10. These beds are fantastic - recently saw one (of perhaps a different make) in real life at Scan Designs and thought it was the bees-knees! Whether you're using the under-bed space for linens, or for out of season clothing, the space is useful regardless of your home's size.

Patricia - thanks for visiting our blog and for your positive comment about Kate's kitchen. Unfortunately we may not be able to use those great stools in the space because she doesn't have a bar area... but I have an idea up my sleave that I'm going to throw past her tomorrow that could mean she could keep them around! We'll see...
