ReplyDeleteI love brown! I once had a dressing area painted what I called Hershey Bar brown - yum,it was the perfect chocolate brown. Beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteThis is so different and rich looking!!! I love the the brown. Are you thinking of doing this in your new house?
ReplyDeletePatricia, Your design work is taking my breath away. I want you to know that you are really, really, really talented. 'Class' & 'Comfort' oozes from your rooms. Bravo. Loving the brown & white. p.s. Thank you for your lovely comments on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI love these rooms! Brown is so elegant when done correctly.
ReplyDeleteBrown is one of my favorite colors too. I just used that west elm rug in a children's playroom for a clinet. Great "hide factor". Nice post!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose a favorite!
ReplyDeleteWhen we got married in the early 80s we started out life with a chocolate brown suite. I loved it - but as the years went by - I hated it. Finally we replaced it with a cream suite - but I have come full circle - and I LOVE chocolate brown again!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I have been in a Brown phase for a while now - both my bedroom and living room have had lots of brown added to them - and I can't wait to have the opportunity to paint a wall brown!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
I absolutely ADORE brown as an interior color. It is so versatile to be paired with many different colors and is so rich and inviting.
ReplyDeletei love that little corner of yours with the brown chairs and lovely painting. i will curl up there after i crawl out of the french bed!
ReplyDeleteBrown is my other all time favorite hue. I painted my office in chocolate brown. My favorite are the lacquered brown walls in one of your collection of photos. Just stunning! Brown can match with so many other colors.
ReplyDeleteHello-
ReplyDeleteI am currently attending school for interior design. I have a paper to write on a designer that is an inspiration to me. I have chosen to do my report on you. I love your work and it is a great inspiration to me. However, I cannot seem to find enough information on you to write my paper. I thought I would give this a try to see if you would be able to provide me with more information. If you are able to do so, please contact me via email at: nick88rum@yahoo.com
Thank you very much for your time and I hope to hear back from you.
Nicole
It was certainly interesting for me to read this blog. Thanks for it. I like such themes and everything connected to this matter. I would like to read more soon.
ReplyDeleteI just want to let you know that I have just painted my living room Benjamin moore paint #2130-10 "black bean soup".
ReplyDeleteEveryone in the family loves this color of Brown.
I have found Benjamin Moore paint to have the best selection of brown paint colors. Benjamin Moore chocolate fondue, buckhorn, willow, night owl, hedgehog, saddle leather, and warm brownie are some of my fav paint colors. I love the names and that you have great images to show these paint colors.
