{ Happy Monday }

You may notice a new wider format for my Blog and a few other tricks that I picked up this weekend from reading the Blogging "How To" posts hosted by Felicity at All Things Bright and Beautiful. Jo from Desire to Inspire provided the Html for making a table so that you can get pictures side by side. I had to change my Blog template to accomodate the wider format to Minimia stretch. I also learnt how to make a picture or link open in a new window by pasting a neat little macro in the Html code. This was all a little confusing for me (I am far from being a techie) but I am sure that it will soon become second nature.

So please let me know how you like the wider page format and the pictures side by side....if you can even remember what the old one was like.....Hmmm Happy Monday

  1. You have the midas touch! Looks wonderful and I think it will be spectacular when you want to post several photos for a design story. Looks very 'pro' and 'impressive'.

  2. hmm Patricia, I think you want to look at your template since all of your links are now at the bottom of your blog instead of to the right or left...and how will I get lost in blog land if I have to scroll to the bottom? ;)

  3. Hi Liberty Post
    Well I don't know if I have the midas touch. What a lot of "bleep" I went through to change the template. I am glad you like it.

  4. Hi Deann
    hmmm sorry about that. My Blog was experiencing a little bit of technical difficulties, everything shifted around big time, but somehow it all came back to the side again. It's a miracle...!!!

  6. Looks good. Sometimes side by side pictures are great. Especially when telling a story like in this post. I haven't figured out most blogspot techniques myself, and still rely on the most simplest form, but if I want 2 pictures side by side I painstakingly stitch them together by creating one jpeg file in photoshop. It works for now, but one day I'll learn...but good for you!

  12. Hi Patricia,

    In response to all the HTML tips which are currently flying round blogland, I've just posted on my blog about a small Microsoft download which gives you a WYSIWYG interface for your blog and means you can do things like post links in a new window, without having to know an ounce of HTML. It's fab for the technically challenged.
