C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !
ReplyDeleteI am sure that Patricia has got a beautiful way with elegance and style. The best thing about the designs are that they look so fresh and different.
ReplyDeleteI am a Grade 11 student at Pinetree Secondary School in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
ReplyDeleteI have always been passionate about architecture and interior design, and have always known that this is something I'd wanted to pursue in university and as a professional career! My mother constantly tells me that even at a young age, I had a keen eye for design and would always want to tag along to museums, art galleries, and open house showings. Even now many years later, my favourite hobbies are visiting museum exhibitions or going to open house viewings, and especially watching real estate shows on HGTV!
Last year, I was browsing through the magazines in a bookstore when I came across Architectural Digest. Since then, I have become a huge fan of the magazine and vowed to collect as many copies as possible! So far, I have asked no less than dozens of people if they happened to have any old copies of Architectural Digest that they didn't want. A week ago, an old lady who happened to hear me asking my friend's mother at the mall came over and told me that she had a few copies at her house that she hadn't read for a long time, and if I didn't mind, I could have all of them! Out of the stack of magazines she gave me, one of them was the December 2006 issue where one of your projects was featured on the cover! I'd never really believed in "love at first sight", but I can honestly say that I fell in love immediately with that specific project! I loved how all of the different aspects of the room, whether it was furniture or lighting, came together seamlessly, and I especially loved the four "wing" chairs that you placed facing each other! Although the chairs had high backs and emanated a regal aura, the warmth of the fireplace, the ambience of the light fixture, and the intimacy of the furniture arrangement all worked to create a wonderful lounging area where people could talk and eat without constraint!
Since then I have been a huge fan of your interior design firm, and have been following your projects on your website!
Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Annie
I so happy for you Patricia, and may I say Gastown has a Scandinavian touch, so exciting.
ReplyDeleteMy son's best friend just moved to Vancouver to live with his girlfriend (we just spoke over Skype).
He is now working, preparing for the Winter Olympics.
Must be a once in a lifetime experience.
We miss him back here, but we hope he is having a great time.
I will go and get the AD tomorrow, my fav magazine after all, just a little tricky to find in Stockholm.
All the best,
Ingela
Congratulations Patricia- sorry I missed this before today!! Wow! I know you were in AD before, but I bet the second time feels twice as nice. You deserve all the recognition! I love that project - it is so clean and crisp and modern and also warm and inviting, which is no easy feat with the white and modern look!
