The color family of Turquoise and Aquamarine has more to do with feeling and creative expression than with rational thought. These colors between green and blue the shades of turquoise, blue green and aquamarine relate to transformation, evolution, change. Aquamarine: stimulates the intellect and stabilizes the emotions, improves confidence, and the ability to stand fast, helps communication. Turquoise: supportive and protective, heals the spirit, soothing, increases contentment.

I love how this color, while a bit edgy, is used effectively in both traditional and contemporary designs. It's thought provoking really...

Beautiful images! Love those colors for spring - so bright and cheerful, but still elegant.

It reminds me of those teeny little Tiffany's boxes that hold such precious things!
You've actually given me a great idea for our front door! (We are still in our 19-month-long reno--argh!). If it weren't for inspirational & creative blogs like yours, I would have given up on the house a long time ago!

My Grandmother Elsie loved turquoise, her home was awash in a soft gray version of this color. I loved going there. It felt so feminine and pretty.

Happy Easter Patricia

Never was into "blues" except for small pieces but I just might change my mind. :)

Where are these houses? I want to move in tomorrow...so soothing, cheerful, elegant.
I should (and I will) have my front door (inside) painted that colour. Thanks for the idea!
I am also colouring eggs tonight (in Italy actually we do it on Good Friday) and I already bought (as every year) greens and blues to mix so they will hopefully look like the beautiful eggs on your Post.
Happy Easter.

We don't have any turquoise in our house, but I do like the colour a lot :-) I have that last picture of the bedroom with the stripes on the ceiling in my inspiration folder too :-)

I'm toying with the idea of a pale aquamarine and lavender colour scheme in one of our rooms.... inspiration from Alkemie :-)

Happy Easter to you too!!

Dear Patricia,

this may not my personal favourite colour, but I have to admit it's very confident.
I can't help not thinking of Greece's archipelago. So beautiful with these shades!

Have a sweet Easter holiday,

The aquamarine door spoke to me, and I'm glad I clicked it. It opened up to some gorgeous photos. Love the dining room and nest of eggs, especially. Love to see posts on color . . . I'm craving it since neutrals so often rule. (Not against neutrals, as I adore the tranquil settings. Color is just so daring and fun....) Will be back to read more. Thanks, -susan
